Head of Risk – Singapore

About the role

We’re looking for a Head of Risk – Singapore to lead risk management for BVNK’s Singapore business and support our continued growth and regulatory footprint across the region. Reporting to the VP, Group Risk & Governance, you will be the senior risk leader responsible for a robust, locally‑compliant risk framework aligned with BVNK’s global approach.

Key responsibilities

• Own and oversee the risk management framework for the Singapore entity, ensuring compliance with MAS expectations and alignment with group standards.
• Establish and maintain risk appetite, policies, and processes, and lead the Enterprise Wide Risk Assessment.
• Develop and embed Key Risk Indicators and other metrics to provide timely visibility of risk exposures.
• Provide independent second‑line oversight, challenge growth‑related risks, and ensure proper escalation of out‑of‑appetite risks.
• Engage with the Monetary Authority of Singapore and other regulators on risk‑related matters.
• Champion a strong risk culture and work closely with Group Risk, Compliance, Financial Crime, Legal, Product and Operations teams.

Required profile

• Significant experience in risk management within a regulated financial services environment (payments, e‑money, fintech, banking or digital assets).
• Deep knowledge of Singapore’s financial services regulatory landscape and experience working with MAS‑regulated businesses.
• Proven track record developing and maintaining Enterprise Risk Management frameworks, risk appetite, KRIs and governance.
• Experience providing effective second‑line oversight and preparing risk reports for senior management or boards.
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast‑moving environment.
