HP3D Test Engineer II

About the role

Jabil is looking for an HP3D Test Engineer II who, under limited supervision, designs, develops and maintains test procedures, tester hardware and software for electronic circuit board production. The role also includes leading and managing a team of Process Technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit and interview Process Technicians, coach them in the hiring process and monitor team turnover
• Identify development needs, create or validate training curriculum and mentor Process Technicians
• Set measurable goals, gather feedback and give coaching, and perform timely team member evaluations
• Review circuit board designs for testability and support manufacturing with failure analysis, tester debugging and reduction of intermittent failures and downtime
• Prepare testing and documentation recommendations from product design through initial production, and generate test data reports
• Design and direct the fabrication of test and test-control equipment, and coordinate development, procurement, installation and calibration of test instruments
• Determine test conditions and sequences, direct test operations, and analyse and interpret test data into technical reports
• Develop or use software and hardware to run tests, train production testing staff, and comply with safety, health and security policies

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university
• Three to five years of experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations, and to write reports, correspondence and procedure manuals
• Ability to work with probability, statistics, geometry and trigonometry, and to reason from data
• Frequently walks and lifts and carries PCs and test equipment up to 50 lbs; works mostly in the office with some time on the manufacturing floor
