HR Executive - Recruitment, Contracts & Compliance (1-Year Contract)
sggovterp · Singapore Islamic Hub
Job description
About the role
The Singapore Islamic Hub is looking for a detail-oriented HR Executive to join its Human Resources team on a 1-year contract. The role covers a broad range of HR functions: talent acquisition, contract and employment lifecycle administration, and HR compliance. It involves partnering with hiring managers and Reporting Officers to attract, assess and onboard talent, and ensuring contracts and Code of Conduct matters are processed accurately and on time.
Key responsibilities
- Recruitment and onboarding: coordinate end-to-end hiring for full-time, project and intern positions, manage pre-employment checks across personnel categories and support the orientation programme for new hires.
- Support the review and update of recruitment policies and processes.
- Contract management: process contract extensions, emplacements, re-employment and retirement cases, prepare the necessary letters and memoranda, complete Workday updates and stakeholder communications, and support the review of contract management policies.
- Manage procurement receipts and purchase orders for items under the unit's purview.
- HR governance: process annual and ad-hoc staff Code of Conduct declarations and prepare staff bulletins on related policies and guidelines.
- Support the review and update of policies so that guidelines remain current and relevant.
- Support other HR projects and initiatives, including exploring how AI tools can improve processes and productivity.
Required profile
- Tertiary education in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, with 1 to 3 years of relevant HR or recruitment experience.
- Ability to identify and drive improvements to HR processes, not just execute them.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, able to handle multiple concurrent cases with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proactive, process-oriented mindset with thorough documentation and timely follow-up.
- Experience coordinating with government agencies or working in a public sector environment is an advantage.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday and HRP is an advantage.
- Familiarity with AI tools and a willingness to apply them to improve work processes is an advantage.
Successful candidates are appointed on a contract basis. Applicants can expect a response within 4 weeks of the application window closing, or up to 6 weeks if there are many applications.
