HR Manager – Employee Relations & Operations (1‑yr contract)

About the role

The HR Manager will support the HR Business Partner team at Lonza's Tuas manufacturing site, focusing on employee relations, advisory services and data‑driven HR operations. This 1‑year contract role offers the chance to manage complex ER cases, partner with business leaders and leverage HR analytics to influence decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary actions, grievances and performance issues.
• Partner with people managers to provide pragmatic, risk‑based advice and support on ER matters.
• Oversee employee medical cases, coordinate return‑to‑work planning with managers and the Occupational Health Nurse.
• Ensure compliance with Lonza policies and Singapore employment legislation, and monitor ER and medical case trends.
• Support new‑hire onboarding, orientation and induction to deliver a positive employee experience.
• Assist in employee engagement initiatives and company events.
• Analyse HR data, prepare reports and insights for management, and identify emerging risks.
• Contribute to the drafting, review and updating of HR policies, guidelines and SOPs.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations and HR business partnering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven ability to manage complex and sensitive ER cases independently.
• Experience with medical case management and return‑to‑work processes is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore employment legislation and Lonza’s HR policies.
