In-House Legal Counsel – 1 Year Contract

About the role

The Legal Counsel will join NTI Nanofilm’s Singapore headquarters to provide comprehensive legal support to its business and operational units. This one‑year contract role involves handling a wide range of commercial, corporate and compliance matters for a global nanotechnology manufacturing company.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate a variety of contracts, including development, research collaboration, licensing, supply, procurement and other commercial agreements.
• Support M&A, venture investment, joint‑venture and strategic partnership transactions.
• Maintain and update contract templates and manage the document management system.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, SGX listing rules, corporate governance and relevant Singaporean laws and regulations.
• Assist with corporate secretarial duties and board matters, including preparation of minutes and resolutions.
• Develop training materials and deliver training sessions to stakeholders and business units.
• Provide ad‑hoc legal assistance as required.

Required profile

• LLB, JD or equivalent legal qualification.
• 3–5 years of experience, combining in‑house legal work and law‑firm practice.
• Experience in the manufacturing sector, listed‑company compliance, M&A and joint‑venture matters is preferred.
• Strong sense of responsibility, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional proficiency in Business English and Chinese for reviewing contracts written in Chinese.
