Infrastructure Specialist (Solution Architect)

About the role

BCS, a wholly owned subsidiary of NETS and part of the NETS Group, manages and operates the clearing and payment infrastructure for the Singapore Automated Clearing House, including FAST, IBG, CTS, and services for PayNow and SGQR. The Infrastructure Specialist plays a solution architect role, designing and governing resilient, highly available enterprise technology environments across infrastructure, networks, cloud, security, databases and storage, and supporting business continuity through disaster recovery planning and regular recovery testing.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise infrastructure and technology architecture standards, roadmaps and best practices for on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Lead infrastructure modernization, technology refresh, migration and transformation initiatives, and review and approve solution designs.
• Develop architecture documentation, technical standards and governance processes, and build proof-of-concepts.
• Work with business stakeholders and manage relationships with vendors, service providers and implementation partners.
• Architect enterprise Linux server environments with high availability, and multi-site production and disaster recovery setups.
• Design Cisco LAN/WAN and data centre networks, and high-availability VPN and security solutions using Check Point and Palo Alto.
• Architect storage solutions using Hitachi platforms, and backup, recovery and cross-site replication strategies.
• Design highly available database environments and define middleware standards for IBM MQ, IBM Connect: Direct, Axway API Gateway and managed file transfer.
• Present architecture recommendations, disaster recovery readiness reports and technology roadmaps to leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of IT infrastructure experience, including at least 5 years in a solution architect, infrastructure architect or enterprise architect role.
• Experience in a regulated financial institution is an advantage.

Required skills

• Hybrid cloud solutions and multi-site enterprise architecture frameworks.
• AWS Cloud certifications (Solutions Architect Associate or Professional).
• Strong stakeholder management, presentation to senior stakeholders, and analytical and troubleshooting skills.
