ISA Mechanical Engineer

About the role

HP is hiring an ISA Mechanical Engineer in Singapore. The role leads a project team of mechanical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced partners to design reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions for moderately complex products, working with management and internal teams to drive development.

Key responsibilities

• Drive mechanical design execution of ISA (Integrated Scan Assembly) across the product lifecycle: architecture input, part design, prototyping, build support, verification and design iteration.
• Own ISA mechanical verification and validation, including defining, running and closing test plans and technical risks.
• Work with FW, Servo and IQ teams to achieve system functionality, performance and quality.
• Act as technical interface to program and cross-functional teams (EE, FW, ID, Manufacturing, Quality, Supplies).
• Develop parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, validating tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, EMI, safety and reliability.
• Manage relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers on deliverables, quality, schedule and cost.
• Lead a project team of mechanical hardware engineers and partners, generate process efficiencies through quality documentation and project management, mentor less experienced staff and solve problems using technical judgment.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline, or commensurate experience and demonstrated competence.
• Typically 4-7 years of experience in engineering design and solutions across the hardware development lifecycle, or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of experience.
• Ability to lead a team and communicate with management, internal and outsourced partners.
