IT Enablement Engineer Intern

About the role

Banking Computer Services (BCS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Network for Electronic Transfers (NETS) in Singapore, is looking for driven and curious interns to gain hands-on experience in a real enterprise environment. The role suits candidates interested in automation, DevOps, observability and asset discovery. The internship is full-time and available to start in January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining Python scripts for automation and operational tasks
• Work with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM and VPC in a hybrid environment
• Support basic DevOps activities, including scripting, CI/CD exposure and deployment support
• Contribute to observability initiatives, monitoring and logging with Elastic and Dynatrace
• Take part in asset discovery and reconciliation
• Create and maintain technical documentation and a knowledgebase
• Work on small projects or improvements that add real value
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across different domains

Required profile

• Student currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Basic hands-on experience with or strong interest in Python for automation
• Basic understanding of AWS/cloud services is an advantage
• Exposure to or interest in DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation and workflow management
• Available to start the internship in January 2027, full time

Required skills

• Foundational knowledge of Python scripting and automation concepts
• Basic understanding of cloud computing principles, especially AWS services
• Interest in DevSecOps, observability tools and IT operations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated and able to work independently
• Good communication, teamwork, organisational and time-management skills
