IT Ops Intern

About the role

The IT Operations L1 department is described as the backbone of the company, split into a BAU unit and a Project unit. The intern supports the Project team, which acts as a subject matter expert on divisional or industry projects: contributing business requirements, producing test plans and cases, running functional and non-functional tests, supporting industry testing, and helping with pre- and post-cutover work. The intern also prepares training materials for knowledge transfer to the BAU team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and create test cases according to the test plan
• Run tests according to the test cases and update results in Confluence
• Log and track bugs in issue-tracking systems such as Confluence, with clear documentation
• Track test progress of test cases
• Coordinate with QA, developers and the BAU team so test cases are completed on schedule
• Take part in project triage meetings to update test progress
• Prepare presentation materials for knowledge transfer
• Provide reporting processes, dashboards and templates for internal reviews

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented, organised and able to manage several tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn and share

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Use of Confluence for test results and bug tracking
