About the role

The Lab Technician at NTU's National Centre for Advanced Integrated Photonics (NCAIP) supports the daily operation, maintenance and safe use of CDPT cleanroom facilities. The role covers maintaining and troubleshooting fabrication equipment, managing consumables and inventory, keeping equipment uptime high and ensuring safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

Operate, maintain and troubleshoot nanofabrication equipment
Manage cleanroom consumables and ensure facility readiness
Train and certify users, enforce SOPs and safety compliance
Administer booking systems and coordinate equipment usage
Support fabrication processes and research activities

Required profile

Diploma with at least 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Nanotechnology or a related field
Hands-on experience in cleanroom or nanofabrication environments
Strong safety awareness and good documentation and record-keeping practices
Responsible, methodical and able to support multiple users in a shared facility
