Large Format System Interaction Engineer, NPDI (2-Year Renewable Contract)

About the role

HP's New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) organization, part of Inkjet Supplies Development and Operations (ISDO), develops innovative inkjet technologies and products. The Large Format Writing System and System Integration Team validates design robustness, reliability and customer experience across Graphics Solution Business platforms for Architecture, Engineering and Construction and Print Service Providers. This is a full-time, 2-year contract position in Singapore with renewable opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with and influence stakeholders across the business and define future product requirements based on customer needs.
• Translate complex technical information into clear insights and make customer-focused judgments on quality, reliability and user experience.
• Lead or support resolution of complex system-level technical issues and document specifications and technical justifications for manufacturing partners.
• Drive or support process development and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the WW team on SKU strategy and NPI SIE acumen templates.
• Develop and validate system-level interactions for new products, including Ink Level Gauge (ILG) and End-of-Supply-Life (EOSL) tests.
• Work with Engineering and Authentication and Security teams to integrate printhead and supply security features for new products.
• Own autopsy, triage and failure tracking of failed printheads and supplies, and coordinate failure analysis.
• Support printhead manufacturing qualification, technology transfer and production readiness with ISDO manufacturing teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical, mechanical, material, chemical engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated analytical and empirical problem-solving skills and ability to work across multiple time zones.
• Experience in print testing, knowledge of pen system issues and failure analysis techniques is an advantage but not required.
• Available for occasional travel (25%).
