Laser Technician

About the role

The Laser Technician is responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly, laser optics alignment, calibration and final testing of capital equipment. The role works closely with vendors to prepare equipment for shipment and ensures production schedules are met through timely material delivery and quality compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly, laser optics alignment, calibration and final testing according to technical instructions.
• Prepare capital equipment for shipment in collaboration with vendors and build equipment within takt time.
• Monitor material deliveries, calibration schedules for tools, and conduct preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company quality and safety requirements throughout the build process.

Required profile

• Higher NITEC/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Hands‑on technical competence with a strong quality and safety mindset.
• Ability to work independently, communicate across all levels and take on overtime or shift work as needed.
• Willingness to learn new knowledge and handle multiple capital equipment projects.
