Lead IT Architect, Autonomous Wireless

About the role

NCS, a technology services firm operating across the Asia Pacific region, is looking for a seasoned leader to define and implement strategy for Autonomous Networks for CSP customers. The role leads transformation programs that use AI/ML, GenAI, orchestration and OSS/BSS integration, heads a team of Systems Integration engineers and AI developers, and engages at a leadership level with Telco customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the Autonomous Network strategy for CSP customers and lead a cross-functional team delivering TM Forum Level 4+ autonomous solutions.
• Design and oversee end-to-end technology solutions, architect and integrate OSS/BSS systems, and ensure interoperability between legacy systems and SDN/NFV, cloud-native and intent-based platforms.
• Evaluate technologies and vendors for solution fit and integration feasibility.
• Develop and implement AI/ML and GenAI models for predictive maintenance, self-healing and self-optimizing networks, and drive closed-loop automation, digital twins and intent-based orchestration.
• Lead the AI/automation portfolio for wireless and wireline networks, and provide thought leadership on network strategy, AI/GenAI models and automation.
• Oversee vendor integration, governance frameworks, performance optimization and transition planning between current and target states.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Telecom, Electrical or Computer Engineering (Master's preferred).
• 15+ years of experience in Telco networks engineering and operations, with proven delivery of autonomous network solutions.
• Familiarity with TM Forum standards and expertise in TM Forum Autonomous Network Level 4+ design, OSS/BSS integration, zero-touch operations and AIOps.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and engage with C-level stakeholders.

• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP, including cloud-native services.
• DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Agile delivery, backlog management and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and Jira Service Management.
• APIs, SOA, container orchestration, microservices and event-driven systems.
• Application, data, integration and infrastructure architecture design, and transition roadmap planning.
