Legal Associate – Disputes (0-3 years PQE)

About the role

WhiteFern LLC is seeking a motivated Legal Associate to join its commercial and insurance disputes practice. The role offers early responsibility, handling own files under the supervision of the Director and Of Counsel, and exposure to litigation, mediation and arbitration across Singapore courts and tribunals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and conduct disputes matters, including policy coverage advice, claim management and defence for insurers.
• Assist with commercial disputes covering construction, employment, professional negligence and other sectors.
• Prepare pleadings, motions and other court documents for State Courts, High Court and appellate matters.
• Participate in arbitration proceedings and support senior lawyers in case strategy.
• Conduct legal research, contract reviews and policy wording evaluations.

Required profile

• 0‑3 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) and qualified to practice in Singapore.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Initiative, commercial sense and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Meticulous, well‑organised and able to thrive in a fast‑paced professional services environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard legal technology tools.
