Legal Counsel (Payments & Digital Assets)

About the role

MetaComp Pte Ltd is seeking a commercially‑minded Legal Counsel to support its payments, digital‑asset and wealth product businesses in Singapore. This in‑house position is ideal for a 2–5 year post‑qualification lawyer who can combine legal rigour with practical commercial judgment.

Key responsibilities

• Support legal work for payments, digital asset, custody, OTC, tokenised and wealth‑related products offered by MetaComp and Alpha Ladder Finance.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including customer, partner, vendor, technology, outsourcing, custody, brokerage and service agreements.
• Provide legal and regulatory support on Singapore financial services matters, collaborating with Compliance, Product, Operations and Business teams.
• Assist with product launches, partner onboarding, internal approvals, governance documentation and external counsel coordination.
• Help build and maintain templates, playbooks and legal know‑how resources.
• Use AI tools responsibly in legal drafting, review and research, and contribute to improving AI‑enabled legal workflows.

Required profile

• 4‑7 years' post‑qualification experience.
• Based in Hong Kong or Singapore.
• Qualified in Hong Kong, Singapore or another common‑law jurisdiction.
• Experience in bank finance or capital markets; payments, fintech or digital assets preferred.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent English drafting and communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, commercially minded and comfortable in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
• Strong interest in AI and legal technology.
