LPG Commercial Operator – Shipping Operations

About the role

Axpo is seeking an experienced LPG Commercial Operator to lead and optimise shipping operations for its LPG fleet. You will coordinate vessel movements, manage bunkering, and handle claims while supporting traders with cost analysis and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee LPG shipping operations, coordinating cargo matters and vessel movements with external stakeholders.
• Manage bunkering operations to control costs and ensure adequate fuel supplies.
• Provide clear voyage instructions and coordinate agency and surveyor nominations.
• Handle demurrage and other claims, negotiating with shipping partners and terminals.
• Serve as the internal point of contact for legal, trade finance, risk, and accounts on invoicing matters.
• Maintain detailed records of contracts, charter parties, bunker stems, and cargo documentation (BL, COO, LOI, SOF, LOP, NOR).
• Update internal software systems with operational data and support traders with shipping cost analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in LPG shipping operations, especially US‑FEA trades.
• Strong background in bunkering, fuel quality specifications, and supply planning.
• Proven experience handling demurrage claims, including preparation, negotiation and recovery.
• Knowledge of LPG regulatory frameworks and international maritime standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and negotiation abilities.
• Professional communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
