Manager, Data Analytics – Applied AI & Data Science

About the role

The Student and Academic Services Department (SASD) at NTU is looking for a Manager, Data Analytics to lead AI‑driven initiatives that enhance student and staff experiences. You will join the Digital Innovations Team, translating operational challenges into practical machine‑learning, NLP, forecasting, recommendation and GenAI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with university stakeholders to define problem statements, data requirements and AI/ML solution approaches.
• Design and own data‑science components of AI solutions, including model development, evaluation and documentation.
• Lead end‑to‑end AI/ML projects: data exploration, feature engineering, model building, testing, deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with automation and engineering specialists to embed AI models into operational workflows.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
• Support the creation and evaluation of GenAI use cases such as summarisation, classification, semantic search and decision support.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in Python‑based data analysis and machine‑learning development.
• Ability to work in ambiguous environments, ask insightful questions and validate assumptions with data.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Proven track record of delivering scalable AI solutions in an academic or large‑organization setting.
