Manager (International Relations)

About the role

The Manager / Senior Manager (International Relations) supports the development and implementation of international relations policies and strategies to engage countries and international organisations, advancing Singapore's civil aviation interests. The role is based at Changi Airport Terminal 2.

Key responsibilities

• Provide policy recommendations and contribute to developing IR policies and strategies, taking account of the interests of various Divisions and Ministries
• Analyse aviation developments and policies worldwide that could affect Singapore
• Drive engagement strategies for the assigned region and develop position papers on civil aviation issues with international implications, in consultation with other Divisions
• Support the Permanent Mission in ICAO and CAAS Divisions on positions on ICAO Working Papers, and contribute to ICAO Council, Committees and Working Groups
• Build relationships with local and international key partners and stakeholders
• Plan and execute events of various scales, including high-level visits by international guests, official trips of CAAS principals, conferences and international meetings
• Prepare and coordinate events attended by CAAS principals, including speeches, briefs and talking points, travel arrangements and on-site engagements

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong networking skills, able to engage people at all levels and manage complex stakeholder relationships
• Keen interest in international affairs and policy-making
• Prior experience in international relations, the government sector and/or a major international event is advantageous but not necessary

What we offer

• Appointment designation commensurate with relevant work experience
• A 3-year contract initially; successful candidates may be considered for a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal
