Manager, Marine Technical Operations

About the role

The Manager, Marine Technical Operations is a hands‑on leadership position designed to reinforce Albion’s daily operating discipline and develop future Group leaders. Reporting to the President, the role coordinates cross‑entity activities, removes bottlenecks and turns technical capability into profitable, repeatable revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day operating rhythm across all Albion entities, commercial teams, engineering, project, service, procurement, finance and HR.
• Lead weekly and monthly operating reviews, set decisions, owners, deadlines and follow‑up.
• Translate Group priorities into work plans, dashboards and accountable execution.
• Identify and remediate operational bottlenecks, duplicated effort and uncontrolled costs.
• Maintain relationships with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, OEMs, government clients and strategic partners; manage client accounts from qualification to handover.
• Drive technically sound and commercially disciplined proposals, pricing, risk review and forecasting in D365/CRM.
• Participate in project kick‑offs, design reviews, risk assessments and change‑control decisions; coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and service resources to deliver projects safely, on time and within scope and margin.
• Ensure compliance with class/flag requirements, procurement interfaces and commissioning obligations.

• Sound judgment, integrity and commercial results orientation.
• Strong technical credibility in marine engineering and operations.
• Ability to lead internationally and influence senior stakeholders.
• Proven experience in coordinating cross‑functional teams and driving accountability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
