Manufacturing Design Engineer, Electronics

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is hiring a Manufacturing Design Engineer in Singapore. The engineer owns the technical and quality performance of assigned electronic subassemblies and supports production, quality and new product introduction.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical and quality performance of assigned electronic subassemblies and resolve production issues to support shipment commitments.
• Provide technical support for field escalations and customer issues, and drive non-conformance disposition and supplier quality improvements.
• Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support cost reduction, EOL replacement, site transfer and engineering initiatives, and create and implement ECOs for product changes.
• Monitor supplier quality and manufacturing yield performance.
• Support ICT/functional test development, troubleshooting and supplier training.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure DFM/DFT compliance.
• Support new product introduction, documentation and manufacturing readiness, and collaborate with design and manufacturing teams on production ramp-up.

Required profile

• BS/MS in Electronics Engineering with 3 years of experience preferred; fresh graduates with strong academic results are encouraged to apply.
• Minimum qualifications: doctorate with 0 years of related experience, master's degree with 3 years, or bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for NPI, training and technology transfers.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FPGA, ADC/DAC, high-speed digital, analog and signal integrity design.
• Experience with imaging, data acquisition or motion control systems is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills at test-bench and system levels.
• Understanding of PCBA manufacturing and quality processes.
