Manufacturing Manager (Systems & Quality)

About the role

Abbott's Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, including brands such as Similac, PediaSure, Pedialyte, Ensure and Glucerna. As Manufacturing Manager (Systems & Quality), you will govern manufacturing quality systems to maintain compliance with cGMP, food safety regulations, corporate standards and internal procedures, ensuring sustained inspection readiness. The position is based in Tuas, Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Govern manufacturing Quality Management Systems, including deviations, investigations, CAPA, change control and audit readiness.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, food safety regulations, corporate quality standards and data integrity requirements.
• Lead manufacturing food safety systems (HACCP, PRPs) and ensure effective risk identification, control and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor, trend and report quality, compliance and food safety KPIs, identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Represent manufacturing in internal, corporate, customer and regulatory audits and inspections.
• Govern computerized systems (e.g. SAP, POMS) and inventory processes to ensure accuracy, traceability and compliance.
• Analyze material usage and inventory discrepancies and drive corrective actions with Operations, Supply Chain and Finance.
• Provide financial governance and budget oversight for manufacturing systems and quality activities.
• Coach and mentor team members to strengthen systems thinking, compliance culture and business acumen.

Required profile

• 6-8 years of experience in regulated manufacturing (food, nutritional, pharmaceutical, medical device or similar).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Life Sciences or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications in Quality, Food Safety, Lean/Six Sigma or Project Management are an advantage.

Required skills

• Hands-on exposure to SAP, POMS, inventory controls and material usage analysis.
• Experience supporting budget management and financial governance in an operations environment.
• Strong influencing, analytical and communication skills, and ability to collaborate across Manufacturing, Quality, Finance and Supply Chain.
