Market Risk Analyst – Oil & Gas

About the role

The Market Risk Analyst will support the Oil & Gas trading desk by managing market risk, analysing P&L, and ensuring credit compliance. This role involves both physical and paper trading activities and contributes to the development of risk frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Implement market risk management for physical and paper trading.
• Analyse P&L of paper deals and align them with physical trades according to hedging strategies.
• Verify daily statements of agents and calculate margin calls.
• Perform credit‑worthiness analysis and reviews for existing and new customers.
• Assess and approve credit limit requests and recommend payment terms.
• Ensure adherence to the company’s credit policy and established processes.
• Prepare monthly credit and market risk reports.
• Develop and implement credit and market risk frameworks and policies.
• Provide full credit analysis and support for credit and payment term recommendations.
• Support all credit and market risk analysis related functions and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Strong team player with problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work under pressure and demonstrate a sense of urgency.
