Mechanical Engineer – Mechanical Design & Drafting

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide design, drafting and documentation support for electro‑mechanical projects, focusing on material handling systems for semiconductor and surface‑mount inspection equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design and create detailed drawings for mechanical parts, mechanisms and modules.
• Assemble and test hardware, generate product drawings and project documentation.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to refine specifications.
• Select manufacturing methods and materials, and conduct design reviews.
• Define and execute test plans for design verification.
• Perform thermal, structural, tolerance and vibration analyses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanism design, custom machine and fabricated part development.
• Experience with semiconductor and surface‑mount assembly equipment design and relevant industry standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in PTC Creo, Windchill and SAP.
• GD&T drawing and detailing (ANSI Y14.5).
• Knowledge of machine‑vision concepts.
• Thermal, structural, tolerance and vibration analysis.
• Design of semiconductor and surface‑mount equipment.
