Mechanical Engineer – Power Plant Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the maintenance team at our power plant on Jurong Island. The role involves planning, supervising, and executing plant maintenance activities while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and high equipment availability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily maintenance activities, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Support the power plant in meeting contractual, technical, and commercial objectives.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for all plant equipment and utilities.
• Perform frontline troubleshooting of equipment defects to maintain high availability.
• Provide guidance to maintenance staff and external contractors for engineering‑sound work.
• Allocate manpower, maintain maintenance records, and update CMMS data.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce safety precautions.
• Carry out additional tasks assigned by plant management.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with plant equipment such as pumps, compressors, HRSG, valves, and fans.
• Hands‑on experience in power plant or process plant maintenance, including erection, commissioning, and start‑up phases.
• Proven ability to supervise a maintenance team and develop staff capabilities.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
