Mechanical Engineering Intern

About the role

KLA, a provider of inspection tools, metrology systems and process solutions for semiconductor manufacturing, is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Singapore. The intern joins the Mechanical Engineering team and works alongside experienced engineers to support the development and testing of next-generation metrology tools.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in defining requirements and developing specifications for mechanical engineering modules.
• Support the creation and execution of test plans for new designs and improvements.
• Participate in troubleshooting and performance analysis of devices and subsystems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review designs and test results.
• Document findings and contribute to reports that support engineering decisions.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Exposure to precision engineering, robotics or electromechanical systems is a plus.

Required skills

• Familiarity with a CAD modelling tool such as Creo or SolidWorks (coursework or projects count).
• Use of Creo for 3D modelling of the tool design.
