Murex Market Risk Analyst

About the role

The role supports the bank's treasury division across multiple regions, focusing on the implementation of the Global Markets Programme – Risk Project using Murex v3. Based in Singapore, the analyst will interact with users and stakeholders locally and overseas.

Key responsibilities

• Gather business requirements, work with vendors, and drive testing with end‑users to ensure successful deployment of Murex risk‑related solutions.
• Configure and develop reports/datamarts using MRA views, LRB, PL/SQL scripting, and manage end‑of‑day processing with Control‑M.
• Build strong relationships with users and stakeholders, managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated risk‑management professional with strong understanding of market‑risk concepts such as VaR, stress testing, and limit management.
• Proven experience delivering IT capabilities for multinational/regional organisations, with strong influencing and communication skills.
• Ability to identify, monitor and manage project risks, issues and dependencies.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Murex (MRA/MLC modules, VaR, MRA, MRE configurations).
• Proficiency in PL/SQL scripting and SQL for report/datamart development.
• Familiarity with Control‑M for batch processing and optimisation of scripts.
• Knowledge of data‑mart and simulation modules within GMP.
