Network Maintenance Engineer

About the role

NCS, an AI tech services company and subsidiary of the Singtel Group, is hiring a Network Maintenance Engineer in Singapore. You will provide initial support and maintenance for OneCare's clients, with 24x7 standby onsite and remote troubleshooting, onsite hardware replacement, security patches and firmware or software upgrades of network and security devices, while meeting SLA contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches and hot fixes
• Configure Cisco Catalyst 9000 series switches, routers and F5 devices at basic to intermediate level
• Manage and troubleshoot Check Point, Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet firewalls
• Replace faulty hardware and prepare replacement devices with matching firmware, software and patches
• Resolve network and security issues promptly and provide technical support to end-users, escalating when necessary
• Take part in 24x7 rotational standby support, incident response drills and post-incident reviews, and update incident tickets accurately
• Follow client security and cyber hygiene policies, respond to security audits and vulnerability assessments, and document problems and resolutions
• Maintain preventive maintenance reports and collaborate with engineers on network and security documentation

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of network and security experience
• Cisco Catalyst 9000 series switch configuration and troubleshooting
• Check Point firewall management and support
• Palo Alto Networks firewall administration and maintenance
• Good knowledge of networking protocols and architectures
• Basic or intermediate skills in switches, routers and F5 load balancers
• Experience with Fortinet firewalls is advantageous

Required skills

• Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) are advantageous
• Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) is advantageous
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) is advantageous
