Patient Account Officer – Business Office (Orchard)

About the role

The Patient Account Officer will join the Business Office team at Orchard, handling billing and cashiering duties for discharged patients. This temporary, entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform billing and cashiering duties, processing patient bills upon discharge.
• Collect payments at the patient’s bedside and ensure all charges, including doctors’ fees, are recorded accurately.
• Follow up on billing queries, disputes, and apply approved discounts with proper documentation.
• Respond to Business Office enquiries via email and phone.
• Maintain accurate records while delivering professional customer service.

Required profile

• Fresh or entry‑level candidates comfortable with billing, cashiering, and administrative tasks.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Prior experience in healthcare administration, billing, or customer service is an advantage.

What we offer

• Temporary contract (fixed‑term) with a monthly salary of SGD 2600.
• Standard working hours: Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM‑6:00 PM; rostered weekend shifts.
• 42‑hour work week, 5‑day schedule.
