Planning and Control Planner

About the role

The Planning and Control Planner will manage production, inventory and material resources planning (MRP) activities to ensure timely material availability for manufacturing and engineering. You will work closely with engineers, finance and shop‑floor teams to maintain schedule integrity and resolve material shortages.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain SAP work order release schedule, perform pre‑shortage analysis and variance analysis.
• Review MRP execution, reconcile supply and demand, and validate master scheduling.
• Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs/ECRs) and provide status reports.
• Participate in floor audits, resolve WIP issues and attend production meetings.
• Analyze inventory usage, forecast spare‑part needs and handle obsolete inventory.
• Lead data‑analysis projects, create visualisations with Tableau and perform ad‑hoc statistical analysis using Python or SQL.

Required profile

• Experience with production control, inventory control or shop‑floor control in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large data sets.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.

Required skills

• SAP work order and MRP management.
• Data analysis and forecasting using Python and SQL.
• Visualization with Tableau.
