Principal Executive / Deputy Head – Finance & Accounting

About the role

CSSD Singapore is seeking a Principal Executive/Deputy Head (Finance & Accounting) to lead its finance function and report directly to the General Manager. The role involves overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, tax compliance and daily accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and submit budget proposals and five‑year strategic financial plans.
• Analyze budget execution, address variances and recommend management improvements.
• Research tax policies, manage tax filing, planning and risk assessment.
• Oversee daily accounting, monthly and annual closings, and preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Coordinate fund management activities such as bank reconciliations, cash planning, cash‑flow forecasting and inter‑company reconciliation.
• Support annual audits, fixed‑asset management and ensure compliance with group policies and Singapore regulations.

Required profile

• Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident with at least 8 years of finance‑related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accountancy or economics from a reputable university; ACCA or Chartered Accountant qualification preferred.
• Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) for regular communication with China‑based stakeholders.
• Strong professional ethics, attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Familiarity with Singapore accounting policies, tax rules and annual audit processes; experience with China‑corporate accounting principles is a plus.
