Private Banking Compliance Consultant – Singapore

About the role

NEWBRIDGE ALLIANCE is building a Private Banking franchise in Singapore and seeks a Compliance Consultant to act as the subject‑matter expert. You will design and embed the compliance framework, policies and controls that ensure all products and client onboarding meet MAS regulations and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Build the compliance foundation for the Private Bank, developing and maintaining core policies covering AML/CFT, KYC/CDD/EDD, client risk scoring and onboarding.
• Draft, review and maintain client‑facing and internal documentation, providing compliance advisory across the full product shelf.
• Define business and compliance requirements for systems and controls, partnering with technology and operations to embed AML screening and monitoring.
• Act as reviewer and advisor for client onboarding and ongoing monitoring, including KYC quality, source of wealth assessments, risk rating, sanctions/PEP screening, periodic reviews, transaction surveillance and SAR escalation.
• Undertake additional compliance projects and assignments as directed by senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Banking, Business, Law or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of direct compliance experience supporting Private Banking in Singapore, preferably at a top‑tier bank or wealth manager.
• Strong knowledge of MAS regulations (e.g., MAS 626) and the broader AML/CFT framework.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin for policy drafting and client communication.
• Self‑driven, collaborative team player with strong stakeholder management skills.
