Process Engineer - Oil & Gas & LNG

About the role

kbr is hiring a Process Engineer in Singapore for Oil & Gas and LNG projects. The engineer performs process design and calculations, prepares engineering drawings and datasheets, and supports technical reviews within multidisciplinary project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform process engineering design and calculations for Oil & Gas and LNG projects.
• Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs).
• Conduct process simulations and prepare heat and material balance calculations.
• Develop, review and maintain Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Prepare process equipment datasheets and instrument datasheets.
• Ensure deliverables comply with codes, standards, project specifications and safety requirements.
• Support technical reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience as a Process Engineer on Oil & Gas and/or LNG projects.
• Experience in process system design, process simulations and heat and material balance calculations.
• Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing PFDs, UFDs and P&IDs.
• Familiarity with international engineering codes, standards and industry best practices.
• Experience preparing process equipment and instrumentation datasheets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, able to work independently and in teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in process engineering software such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus or equivalent.
• Process simulation and heat and material balance calculations.
