Product Counsel – Money Movement Legal (APAC)

About the role

Stripe is seeking a Product Counsel to support its Money Movement and Storage business across the Asia‑Pacific region. You will guide product, engineering, and partnership teams through the complex legal and regulatory landscape surrounding payments, e‑money, foreign exchange, and digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure product launches comply with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual commitments.
• Advise product teams on the intersection of technology, e‑commerce experiences, and financial‑services compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering, compliance, risk, marketing, and partnership teams throughout product development and commercialization.
• Monitor emerging legal and regulatory developments, assess their impact, and apply existing laws to new technologies.
• Partner with global Legal colleagues to support regulatory frameworks, customer agreements, and strategic financial partnerships.
• Design scalable processes for legal review and product launches.
• Stay current on money‑movement regulations and act as a strategic advisor to senior managers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a qualified lawyer in a law firm, in‑house team, or government agency.
• Expertise in payment‑services laws and regulations (e.g., Singapore Payment Services Act).
• Qualified to practice law in an Asia‑Pacific jurisdiction.
• Strong ability to work cross‑functionally with product, engineering, compliance, and risk teams.
