Project Engineer (2-Year Fixed Term)

About the role

Air Liquide Singapore Private Limited (ALSg), the largest industrial gas company in south-east Asia, is hiring a Project Engineer for a 2-year fixed-term position within its Engineering Project and Solutions Division (EPSD). The division designs, installs and manages gas supply systems, storage infrastructure and gas handling equipment. As Project Engineer, you will lead project teams to mechanical completion and commissioning while adhering to schedules, technical specifications and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in pre-tender activities to identify, negotiate with and secure contractors and essential equipment, and recommend cost-effective installation strategies.
• Verify that project activities comply with the company's Quality Management System and HSE standards.
• Support on-site testing and commissioning of gas distribution equipment.
• Manage and produce equipment documentation, including Field Acceptance Testing (FAT) and commissioning reports.
• Lead equipment design reviews and coordinate follow-up with Air Liquide affiliates and clients.
• Provide after-sales service, including troubleshooting and on-site service calls.
• Review SCADA graphics, scales and settings, and work with GMS SCADA programmers during commissioning.
• Replace faulty components on manifolds and controllers during commissioning.
• Train and collaborate with on-site engineers to strengthen local after-service support.
• Work with ALES ASIA to resolve program-specific troubleshooting for clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Process, Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in engineering project management.
• Demonstrated resilience, strong time management and a collaborative, stakeholder-focused approach.

Required skills

• Knowledge of project management tools, project controls and QA/QC processes.
• Technical knowledge of gas properties, delivery safety and interpretation of mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Practical experience with PLC and HMI systems.
• Procurement and negotiation skills.
