QC Specialist (Micro & Services) Trainee - Attach and Train Programme

About the role

GSK's Attach and Train Programme (AnT) is a 15-month on-the-job training programme for the QC Specialist (Micro & Services) role in Singapore's biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry. It builds a pipeline of skilled professionals and offers hands-on experience, industry-relevant skills and mentorship. Applications are open to fresh graduates and mid-career individuals, but only Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents are considered.

Key responsibilities

• Support the supervisor/manager in managing biological laboratory activities to ensure timely and accurate results.
• Provide technical support so that manufactured products meet regulatory standards and quality control guidelines.
• Support continuous improvement activities such as GPS tiers, Gemba, DMAIC, 5S and standard work.
• Identify and report QC problems, solve them and implement corrective actions.
• Perform routine testing and review and approve results.
• Help manage the Micro and Services team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in a science-related discipline with a focus on biology or microbiology.
• Interest in laboratory testing and operations, teamwork, adaptability and working under pressure.
• Excellent communication, strong problem-solving and project management skills.
• Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.

What you will learn

• GDP, GLP and GMP knowledge and general laboratory operations.
• Hands-on microbial and biological testing and clean room work.
• Investigation writing and how to judge critical information for test result approval.
