Quantity Surveyor – Construction Cost Management

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will oversee the commercial and contractual side of construction projects across Singapore. You will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure accurate cost control and contract compliance from tender to final account.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, quantity take‑offs and tender documents based on project drawings and specifications.
• Manage contracts, monitor obligations and review quotations, contracts and commercial terms.
• Prepare and assess progress claims, verify completed works and ensure correct valuation.
• Evaluate variation orders, control project costs and keep expenditure within approved budgets.
• Negotiate prices with subcontractors and suppliers and maintain strong relationships.
• Compile final accounts, negotiate settlements and keep comprehensive commercial records.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Relevant construction industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimation, tendering and quantity measurement.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication and organisational abilities.
• Female candidates preferred; fluency in English and Chinese is an advantage.
