Regional Finance & Tax Manager (Japanese Speaking)

About the role

The Regional Finance & Tax Manager will be based at the Singapore Regional Headquarters and act as the tax focal point for APAC subsidiaries. The role works closely with Japan Headquarters, regional finance teams and external advisers to strengthen tax governance and provide finance support across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide regional tax advisory on cross‑border transactions, compliance and business initiatives for APAC subsidiaries.
• Coordinate tax governance initiatives, monitor tax‑related risks and liaise with Japan Headquarters on reporting matters.
• Review tax implications of intercompany transactions and support transfer‑pricing documentation.
• Review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports through DIVA, ensuring accuracy and consistency with internal standards.
• Analyse financial performance against budgets, forecasts and KPIs; identify variances and underlying drivers.
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, perform variance and scenario analyses.
• Monitor adherence to financial policies, internal controls and audit findings; escalate significant issues.
• Provide management insights and commentary on financial risks, cost drivers and operational issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in tax advisory and financial reporting for APAC subsidiaries.
• Ability to coordinate with Japan Headquarters and external tax advisers.
• Fluent Japanese language skills.
