Regional Finance & Tax Manager (Japanese Speaking)

About the role

This position is based at the Singapore Regional Headquarters and serves as the regional tax focal point for APAC subsidiaries. The successful candidate will collaborate with Japan Headquarters, regional finance teams, and external tax advisers to strengthen tax governance and provide advisory support across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide regional tax advisory on cross‑border transactions, compliance, and business initiatives.
• Coordinate tax governance, monitor tax‑related risks, and liaise with Japan Headquarters.
• Review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for all APAC subsidiaries through DIVA, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Analyse financial performance against budget, forecast and prior periods; develop and monitor KPIs.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes, perform variance and scenario analyses.
• Monitor adherence to financial policies, internal controls and audit findings.
• Deliver financial insights and commentary to senior management, highlighting risks and cost drivers.

Required profile

• Strong background in finance, accounting and tax within a multinational environment.
• Experience working with subsidiaries across APAC (Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, India, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong).
• Ability to coordinate with external tax advisers and corporate headquarters.
• Fluent in Japanese and English, with excellent communication skills.
