Regional Sales Director, Asia Pacific

About the role

Caterpillar is looking for a Regional Sales Director to plan, develop, manage and direct strategic sales, commercial and operational activities across the Asia Pacific region. The role aims to deliver forecasted sales, revenue, margin, market share and profitability objectives, and to lead the regional organisation as the executive representative of MWM within APAC.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver regional sales, revenue, margin and market share targets, taking full accountability for business performance.
• Develop and execute regional, country and key account strategies to drive profitable growth and strengthen MWM's market position across APAC.
• Lead business development, identify new market opportunities and establish strategic partnerships.
• Build and maintain executive-level customer relationships and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Direct sales forecasting, pipeline management and commercial negotiations.
• Develop and implement regional business plans, organisational strategies and operational initiatives aligned with global objectives.
• Lead, develop and coach the regional leadership team, including succession planning, talent development and employee engagement.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal requirements and governance standards.

Required profile

• Knowledge of Caterpillar's business segments, growth strategy, customers, dealers, products and services.
• Ability to predict future sales demand and revenue by analysing market conditions, customer activity, pipelines, dealer feedback, historical trends and economic indicators.
• Leadership skills: inspiring, influencing and empowering others, developing people and building a culture of trust and accountability.
• The position requires working onsite five days a week.
