Reporting Accountant

About the role

The Reporting Accountant will support the finance team of TDCX's operating unit in Japan, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and analysis. You will guide junior staff, collaborate with senior accountants, and help shape accounting policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance to junior staff on accounting entries, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Assist in maintaining ledger accounts, preparing financial statements, and ensuring IFRS compliance.
• Develop and revise accounting policies, closing checklists, and SOX controls.
• Process inter‑office billing, AR/AP postings, journal entries, and perform bank and inter‑office reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations and support cash‑flow and treasury management.
• Support monthly and quarterly closing, variance analysis, and the preparation of financial reports.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, tax return preparation, and statutory audit activities.
• Help implement new accounting systems and resolve closing‑related issues.

Required profile

• Academic or professional degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a fast‑paced service industry.
• Strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and high integrity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Japanese language skills are a plus.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, complex calculations).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Working knowledge of IFRS standards.
• Understanding of SOX compliance requirements.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
