Research Assistant – AI Trust in Autonomous Vehicles

About the role
The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at NTU is seeking a Research Assistant to support the project “ATTAIN*SG: Achieving public Trust in AI in autonomous vehicles in Singapore”. This role involves assisting the Principal Investigator in all phases of the research, from literature review to dissemination of findings.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct literature searches related to AI trust and autonomous vehicles.
- Assist in the development and conceptualisation of a survey instrument.
- Analyse survey data and prepare statistical reports.
- Contribute to research publications and conference presentations.
- Draft progress reports and the final research report.
- Support dissemination of results under supervision.
- Organise a conference aligned with the project theme.
- Perform administrative tasks associated with the research programme.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, psychology, sociology or a related social‑science discipline.
- Prior experience with survey methodology for social‑science research.
- Strong quantitative data management and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team and independently when needed.
- Initiative and strong interpersonal communication.
- Experience in autonomous‑vehicle research is an advantage.
- Evidence of a research track record (journal publications, conference presentations).
