Research Assistant (Quantum Sensing)

About the role

The Centre for Quantum Sensing Technology (CQST) at Temasek Laboratories @ NTU advances next-generation quantum sensors, with core programmes in cold-atom sensing, quantum photonics, quantum materials and superconducting sensor technologies. It is looking for a Research Assistant to join its team on the NTU Main Campus.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in experimental work on quantum sensing materials development and characterization, and on device fabrication and instrumentation as needed.
• Help with research operations such as procurement of lab supplies, setting up experiments, checking literature and product specifications, and establishing safe work processes.
• Ensure experiments are conducted properly and documented correctly, in consultation with the project leader.
• Help monitor, repair and maintain equipment and process tools.
• Support events, publications, proposals, planning, monitoring and reporting related to the project.

Required profile

• Minimally a BSc/BEng in physics, engineering or materials engineering.
• 1-2 years of industry work experience is advantageous.
• Prior experience in quantum-related work is advantageous.
