Research Assistant (Sensor Miniaturization)

About the role

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University is looking for a research assistant to carry out a research project on product design and engineering for quantum instruments, such as the miniaturization of NV sensors. The post-holder is also responsible for the administrative and logistical upkeep of laboratory operations. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out research activities related to product design and engineering for quantum technologies.
• Develop and prepare detailed product design drawings using AutoCAD.
• Apply optics and electronics design knowledge to develop and optimise quantum technology systems.
• Maintain the administrative and logistical upkeep of laboratory operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Quantum Engineering.
• Familiarity with quantum technologies and AutoCAD.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Highly motivated in multidisciplinary research.
• Proven experience in product design, project leading and optics alignment.
• Experience in systems engineering and process optimization is preferred.
