About the role
The Earth Observatory (EOS) at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Associate to advance its Air Pollution and Health programme. You will contribute to cutting‑edge studies on climate‑air quality interactions and their impacts on public health and ecosystems across Southeast Asia.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and apply high‑resolution spatial models to simulate city‑scale air pollutant distributions.
- Collect, process, and integrate diverse environmental and meteorological datasets.
- Design, implement, and validate land‑use regression and machine‑learning models.
- Perform data analyses to assess exposure, mosquito abundance, and soil acidity.
- Document model development, results, and findings in technical reports and peer‑reviewed journals.
- Execute additional tasks assigned by the supervising professor.
Required profile
- Master’s degree or higher in atmospheric science, geography, meteorology, or environmental studies.
- Experience developing spatial models, particularly land‑use regression or machine‑learning approaches.
