About the role

The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at NTU is seeking a Research Associate to advance human‑like traffic simulation. The role focuses on modelling traffic behaviours using large‑scale real‑world datasets and validating results in physical simulators.

Key responsibilities

• Develop traffic scene representations and behaviour models with common‑sense reasoning and prediction.
• Generate realistic road layouts and initialise states of traffic agents.
• Render simulations in physical simulators and conduct experimental validation.
• Collaborate on journal and conference papers, presenting findings effectively.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation & Control Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or related field.
• Relevant working experience preferred.
