Research Associate (Materials)

About the role

The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) conducts multidisciplinary research in sustainable materials, energy systems and low-carbon technologies, covering material characterization, corrosion and durability studies and advanced materials for offshore and onshore renewables. It is looking for a Research Associate to carry out advanced research in sustainable materials and decarbonization science, with an emphasis on materials characterization, structure-property analysis and materials for wind turbines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct materials research and characterization using advanced analytical methods.
• Design experiments and develop protocols for material performance testing.
• Analyze data and prepare technical reports and research publications.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on sustainability and decarbonization initiatives.
• Support project reporting, proposals and supervise students or interns.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in materials synthesis, corrosion studies or advanced characterization techniques.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail and organization.
