Research Engineer – Sustainability

About the role

The Research Engineer will support applied research and innovation in environmental sustainability, collaborating with internal teams and industry partners to develop practical, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and assessments on sustainability frameworks, including life‑cycle analysis, environmental impact assessments, and energy analysis.
• Develop road‑maps and frameworks for sustainability solutions to support organisational green transitions.
• Support project execution – experimentation, data collection, analysis, and evaluation of carbon management, circular economy, renewable energy and sustainable materials initiatives.
• Collaborate with industry partners to understand problem statements, scope projects, and contribute to solution development.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and documentation; contribute to grant proposals and track project progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years or Master’s degree with 2+ years experience in environmental science, engineering or related fields.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional, multidisciplinary environments.
