About the role

The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N), established in 2010, is a pan-university research institute focused on systems-level research for tropical megacities, covering the energy value chain from generation to end-use solutions. It is looking for a Research Fellow to work on carbon-enhanced concrete materials, focusing on research and development of new materials related to the project.

Key responsibilities

Develop new carbon-material-enhanced concrete, for example by incorporating various carbon materials that are securely stored while enhancing concrete properties in different ways
Test all relevant aspects of the advanced concrete material developed
Carry out cost-benefit and life-cycle assessment (LCA) analysis of the material developed

Required profile

PhD degree from a renowned university in material science, civil engineering, chemical engineering or a related field
Extensive knowledge of carbon-material-enhanced concrete and geopolymer materials
Solid theoretical background and hands-on experience
Excellent paper and report writing skills
