Research Fellow - Carbon Materials Enhanced Concrete

About the role
The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N), established in 2010, is a pan-university research institute focused on systems-level research for tropical megacities, covering the energy value chain from generation to end-use solutions. It is looking for a Research Fellow to work on carbon-enhanced concrete materials, focusing on research and development of new materials related to the project.
Key responsibilities
- Develop new carbon-material-enhanced concrete, for example by incorporating various carbon materials that are securely stored while enhancing concrete properties in different ways
- Test all relevant aspects of the advanced concrete material developed
- Carry out cost-benefit and life-cycle assessment (LCA) analysis of the material developed
Required profile
- PhD degree from a renowned university in material science, civil engineering, chemical engineering or a related field
- Extensive knowledge of carbon-material-enhanced concrete and geopolymer materials
- Solid theoretical background and hands-on experience
- Excellent paper and report writing skills
