Scheme Compliance Director, APAC

About the role

Fiserv, a global leader in fintech and payments, is looking for a Scheme Compliance Director to oversee all card scheme compliance matters in Asia Pacific and lead the Scheme Compliance function. The role guides and collaborates with APAC business units to deliver and support scheme programs, processes and procedures, ensuring product portfolios stay compliant with scheme rules and regulations while helping drive strategic risk-based decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage card scheme rules and network/industry requirements across APAC
• Build and maintain effective relationships with schemes
• Lead communication so stakeholders understand scheme rule changes and new mandates
• Manage non-compliance issues and work with relevant functions on remediation plans
• Manage waiver requests and escalations and negotiate further
• Organise workshops and training between Fiserv, schemes and network/industry bodies
• Support audits and respond promptly to inquiries
• Support and lead collaboration on annual scheme releases
• Attend network/industry meetings and follow up on tasks

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in the payments/cards industry
• In-depth knowledge of card scheme standards, processes and regulations
• Proven track record in handling regional and country operations
• Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions
• Ability to support new product integration and market strategies

Nice to have

• Experience managing scheme compliance in a large organisation
• Experience coordinating with industry bodies and stakeholders
• Prior experience with network partnership management
